What is Si3N4 Thermocouple Protection Tube

The "Si3N4" thermocouple protection tube refers to a type of thermocouple sheath or tube made from silicon nitride (Si3N4) ceramic material. Thermocouples are temperature sensors used to measure high temperatures in various industrial processes. They consist of two dissimilar metal wires joined at one end, forming a junction. When exposed to a temperature gradient, a voltage is generated across the junction, which can be measured to determine the temperature.
